UF Homecoming - Chemistry Club

Tabling along University Avenue during the Homecoming Parade provides a fun and spirited way for the club to interface with the local community. Typical demonstrations involving liquid nitrogen, balloons, flowers, acetone and styrofoam, dry ice, and plenty of food coloring help attract a great deal of attention among members of the the crowd, especially in children who often come back several times to see the same demos performed over and over again while they wait for the next parade float to march through.
